Las Vegas, May 21, 2017 – Vintage Real Estate (VRE) was awarded a Silver U.S. MAXI Award in the Traditional Marketing category by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) at the 2017 U.S. MAXI Awards ceremony at ICSC RECon in Las Vegas last week.

ICSC presented VRE the Silver MAXI Award in the Cause-Related Marketing subcategory for the creation and execution of the COOL KIDS Campaign, a program implemented in five regional shopping centers located across the United States owned by VRE. The COOL KIDS Campaign was a series of four children’s events aimed to address specific needs in the shopping centers’ communities. COOL KIDS Save taught financial awareness, COOL KIDS Move promoted health and wellness, COOL KIDS Read advocated literacy and COOL KIDS Give encouraged philanthropy.

The events took place at Heritage Mall in Albany, Oregon, SouthBay Pavilion in Carson, California, Southlake Mall in Morrow, Georgia, The Mall at Whitney Field in Leominster, Massachusetts and Wenatchee Valley Mall in East Wenatchee, Washington.

“Our strategy at VRE is to create malls that are thought of as locations for the community to gather and make memories,” said Carla Sands, chairman of Vintage Real Estate.

ICSC’s U.S. MAXI Awards celebrate marketing excellence and innovation in the retail real estate industry. Awards are given in 10 different categories recognizing all aspects of marketing, including traditional marketing, new emerging technology, cause-related marketing and Net Operating Income (NOI) enhancements.
